SON OF A BEAST

LOGLINE: An Uber driver is blackmailed by a young boy with supernatural powers who forces him to obtain an illegal explosive or be framed as a child molester. Taxi Driver meets The Omen. Budget 1 to 1.5 million.
SUMMARY: Gabriel Capone (40) hasn’t missed a single Sunday service at his Baptist Church that’s located in an Austin, Texas shopping mall. That’s where he met his pretty and plain wife Lori (30’s), who he never had sex with until the night of their wedding...where no alcohol was served but they still spent a big chunk of their savings on it. Even before he was fired for younger and cheaper labor at his corporate job, Gabriel still had a side hustle job driving for GET THERE
(An Uber like taxi service).
And with a newborn baby and a very sick mother that he has to take care of since she was uninsured, he has to rely financially on Get There while he looks for another job. When his mother tried to commit suicide during dinner and inadvertently almost killed the baby, he was forced to lock her up in a bedroom. He had to protect his baby and he won’t let his mother go to hell, despite the agonizing pain she’s in.
Gabriel’s certainly lucky he had his faith or he might have lost his way. But this was all before THE BOY entered his car on a Saturday afternoon. Cute, charismatic and curious... this 10 year old would charm the pants off anyone. If it really was just a 10-year-old boy, this is something else... something supernatural.
The extent of The Boy’s power seems to be limitless. He can perfectly mimic any
voice, induce people to have petrifying psychedelic hallucinations and can survive being hit by a car full speed without a scratch. But what’s most terrifying is the Boy’s sinister mind. The Boy loves to make up twisted games and he’s made up a game specifically for Gabriel to play. Gabriel must locate and obtain an explosive nicknamed
“The Mother of Satan” (that can take out an entire city block) or go to prison as a child molester.
The Boy masterfully set Gabriel up earlier by getting fingerprints on his belt buckle and putting child porn on his computer. Gabriel knows that even an accusation of this would destroy his family and his stature at the Church. He must play. Gabriel’s journey to find this explosive slides him down into the seedy underbelly of Austin 2019; A depraved world of gang members, crystal meth, white supremacist gun nuts, sex slaves and murdering psychopaths.
But nothing is scarier than The Boy, who keeps raising the stakes of the game, where even Gabriel’s baby girl isn’t off limits. Positive that Gabriel is, in fact, dealing with a real life demon, he turns to the semi-celebrity Pastor of his Church for help, who agrees to help him fight off the demon... or so it would seem. Ironically, it’s a woman named Natalie (30’s) on the complete other side of the political spectrum (that represents everything Gabriel despises) who unexpectedly shows Gabriel something he’s never experienced before... Passionate Romance.
As the onion peel mystery eventually reveals the true identity of The Boy and the purpose for the explosives,
Gabriel also learns that Natalie is key to The Boy’s diabolical master plan. Now everything that Gabriel has ever stood for is put on trial. Just how far will he go in order to protect his family and church while still saving himself and his mother from burning in hell for the rest of eternity?
